Medicover Genetics Cyprus and its employees have donated €2,000 to support the needs of Souni - Zanakia School, which was damaged by the summer's wildfires.
The devastating fires caused significant damage in the region and disrupted the lives of many families. The School now plays a vital role in offering stability, education, and hope to children as the area begins to rebuild, Medicover said in a press release.
The funds, raised through the joint initiative of the company and its employees, have been delivered directly to the community. This, the press release continued, ensures that resources are available to meet the immediate needs of the school as it prepares for the beginning of the new school year. This donation underscores Medicover Genetics Cyprus’ long-standing commitment to social responsibility and to supporting those affected by hardship, beyond its role in healthcare services, it added.
Dr Marios Ioannides, Managing Director of Medicover Genetics Cyprus, said: “This donation reflects our commitment to social responsibility and our belief that education is the foundation of a stronger future. We want families in Souni to know that they have our support as they face the challenges of rebuilding their lives in the region. Together, we can help restore the spirit and strength of the community. We also extend our best wishes to all students, teachers, and parents for a productive and joyful school year, filled with positivity, creativity, and fresh opportunities for growth”.
This initiative is part of Medicover Genetics Cyprus’ broader mission to combine scientific excellence with human responsibility. As the company continues to deliver advanced genetic testing and diagnostics, it also remains committed to standing with communities in times of need and to building a more sustainable and healthier future for all.
