City of Dreams Mediterranean celebrated the first anniversary of the Marcos Baghdatis Tennis Academy with an unforgettable evening of world-class tennis and entertainment.
The event, held on Wednesday, 15 October, brought together tennis icons Marcos Baghdatis, Marat Safin, Karolina Šprem Baghdatis, and Dinara Safina, for an exclusive Tennis Showdown that captivated fans and inspired young athletes.
The matches showcased exceptional talent, sportsmanship, and a shared passion for the game, leaving spectators delighted.
The event attracted local dignitaries, tennis enthusiasts, and fans, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere. Attendees also enjoyed a special entertainment segment by Danceaholics and City Angels, adding an extra layer of excitement.
Following last year’s landmark exhibition featuring Andre Agassi, this year’s celebration once again set a new standard for tennis entertainment and the promotion of the sport in Cyprus.

The event was attended by the Minister of Transport, Alexis Vafeadis, the Chairman of the Limassol District Local Government Organisation, Yannis Tsouloftas, and the Mayor of Limassol, Yannis Armeftis.
Founded in 2024, the Marcos Baghdatis Tennis Academy offers personalised training programmes for players of all ages and skill levels, combining expert coaching with a passion for excellence and development.
