AdTech Holding, a leading innovator in digital advertising and marketing technology, is thrilled to announce the 4th annual HackTech Hackathon, set for November 15–16, 2025, at The Warehouse by IT Quarter in Limassol.
Organised under the auspices of the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy of Cyprus, with the support of TechIsland, Ecosystem Partner, and other prominent collaborators, HackTech 2025 will bring together talents to address one of the island’s most pressing issues: wildfires. The event will culminate in a DemoFest, where investors and accelerators will engage with teams, offering opportunities to turn innovative prototypes into impactful ventures.

HackTech has earned its place as Cyprus’ largest open hackathon, and this year’s theme is both timely and critical: leveraging technology to combat wildfires. Participants will focus on creating practical IT solutions across three key areas:
-
Prevention: Tools for forecasting, raising awareness, and reducing wildfire risks.
-
Real-time Response: Solutions to enhance emergency coordination during active wildfires.
-
Recovery: Initiatives to support affected communities and restore ecosystems.
The 48-hour event welcomes up to 20 teams, with free participation open to developers, designers, product managers, and IT professionals. Mentors, investors, and government representatives will provide guidance and support.
“HackTech 2025 is more than just a coding competition - it’s a chance to use technology for good. Cyprus’ tech ecosystem is growing fast, and we believe that ideas coming from both enthusiasts and professionals across different companies can truly help tackle real challenges like wildfires,” said Alex Vasekin, CEO of AdTech Holding.
The hackathon offers a €30,000 prize pool, awarded to the top three teams, along with a People’s Choice Award:
-
1st Place: €15,000
-
2nd Place: €10,000
-
3rd Place: €5,000
Registration is open until 31 October 2025, at thehacktech.com, followed by the main event on 15–16 November at The Warehouse by IT Quarter in Limassol.
