The position that, today, it is more important than ever "for organisations to be able to make quick decisions, securely", was expressed by Katerina Christofalou, Sales Manager, Logicom Solutions, in a fireside chat held as part of Cisco Connect 2025 in Nicosia.
Providing specific examples at the 23 September event, she highlighted how cybersecurity solutions within the framework of the long-standing collaboration between Logicom Solutions and Cisco translate into tangible benefits for large organisations.
Visibility and enhanced technological infrastructure
A recent project at a large public education organisation demonstrated that beyond protection from modern risks and process automation, the real value was visibility into all of the organisation's systems through a single technology.
Accordingly, with the University of Cyprus, solutions were offered that strengthened the academic institution's business continuity and technological infrastructure, providing it with a clear picture, among many others, of the applications being utilised.
"It's never too late"
Christofalou emphasised that Logicom remains a strict “judge” of any new technology, first examining in depth how it can be implemented quickly and securely before proposing it to its clients. She also commented on the lack of specialised human resources in the cybersecurity field, noting, however, that “it is never too late” for training and developing new skills among existing staff.
Referring in depth to Logicom Solutions' 20-year collaboration with Cisco, she spoke of a strategic relationship with a characteristic element of "complementation", which is based on a common denominator: security. As she said characteristically, "first you protect and then thrive", emphasising that the real utilisation of artificial intelligence and new technologies always begins with their secure integration.
