Direct Kinetic Solutions (DKS) has been awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant.
“This milestone award will support the continued development of our novel radioisotopic power sources and enable us to expand our research into new isotopes—broadening the potential for long-duration, compact energy solutions in extreme environments,” DKS said announcing the news on its LinkedIn page.
“Phase I helped us prove the concept. Now, with Phase II funding, we’re scaling our R&D, building partnerships, and unlocking new possibilities for innovation in nuclear energy,” it added.
It concluded, “Grateful to the NSF for their continued support, and proud of our team for pushing the boundaries of what’s possible”.
