The government’s updated online platform Minds in Cyprus is intended to offer talented Cypriot professionals abroad all the information they need in one place, to return and contribute to the country’s growth.
It is part of an official initiative by the government that has been approved by the Council of Ministers.

“It offers job opportunities for professionals, access for businesses to Cypriot talent, useful information on repatriation, updates on events and new initiatives, and a communication channel for questions & suggestions,” Invest Cyprus CEO Marios Tannousis told CBN, adding: “The platform will be continuously updated with new content and valuable information, serving as a dynamic link with the diaspora and a point of reference for all Cypriots who wish to return or reconnect with Cyprus.”
Described on the website as, “An official initiative by the Government of the Republic of Cyprus, approved by the Council of Ministers, based on a dedicated Action Plan that’s designed to encourage talented Cypriot professionals abroad to return and contribute to the country’s growth”, the Minds in Cyprus website is divided into four main sections:
- Opportunities for Talent: This platform connects professionals interested in building a career in Cyprus with available job openings. By completing the questionnaire, they indicate their interest in employment opportunities, and the information they provide enables the platform to identify the roles that best match their profile.
- Information Hub: This portal has been created with the aim of gathering and presenting useful information for Cypriots who are interested in repatriating to Cyprus. At this first stage, they will find basic information on key topics, with the understanding that the project is ongoing and will be continuously enriched with new content and practical guidance.
- Events: Where any events relating to the Minds in Cyprus initiative will be uploaded.
- Opportunities for Talent: This section is for employers to submit Highly Skilled Job Vacancies. By completing the questionnaire, companies can express their interest by outlining the needs and characteristics of the positions they wish to fill. This information will help the platform effectively connect them with suitable candidates.
London event “marked the beginning of a coordinated national effort”
“Through Minds in Cyprus, the country invests in the knowledge, experience, and creativity of its people,” Invest Cyprus CEO Marios Tannousis told CBN. “Invest Cyprus has been supporting from the very beginning the initiative of the President of the Republic for the repatriation of Cypriots from abroad, standing behind a vision that aims to harness Cypriot talent on a global scale.”
The government’s Action Plan was indeed presented in May 2025, at the Minds in Cyprus event in London. The response exceeded all expectations, with more than 750 participants attending in person, over 2,200 participants joining online, and more than 20 Cypriot businesses and Centres of Excellence strongly represented.
“This event marked the beginning of a coordinated national effort, with the goal of creating opportunities for Cypriots abroad who are considering returning to their homeland,” Tannousis explained.
