The Meteorology Department has issued a yellow warning for extreme maximum temperatures on Friday, 22 August.
As stated, the warning will be in effect between noon and 5pm, with maximum temperatures expected to reach around 41 degrees Celsius over inland areas and around 32 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
