Hermes Airports: July 2025 was busiest month in history of Cyprus airports

Hermes Airports announced that July 2025 was the busiest month in the history of Cyprus' airports, with 1,653,880 passengers passing through both Larnaka and Pafos' airports.

In a post on "X", Hermes said this milestone proves Cyprus' ever-growing appeal as a destination.

It said: “July 2025 was officially the busiest month in the history of Cyprus airports, with a total of 1,653,880 passengers passing through Larnaka and Pafos airports.”

In addition, from January to July 2025, the two airports welcomed 7.3 million passengers, marking a remarkable increase of 11.4% compared to the same period last year.

Hermes attributed “several key factors” to this outstanding growth, “the rising momentum of markets such as Israel, UK, Poland, Greece, Armenia, and Germany has contributed to 70% of the overall growth this year.”

This growth, it added, “has been supported by the increased performance of 40 out of 58 airlines operating in Cyprus. Noteworthy growth was recorded by Wizz Air, Aegean, Cyprus Airways, TUI Group, LOT and Air Haifa, which have driven 60% of the market's expansion.”

During the first 7 months of 2025, said Hermes, “we had 5 new airlines operating in Cyprus and 6 new routes. This milestone reflects not only the ever-growing appeal of Cyprus as a destination, but also the dedication of all our partners, airlines, and airport teams who work tirelessly to ensure smooth and pleasant journeys for millions of travelers”.
