Real estate sector showing a steady upward trend

The real estate sector in Cyprus continued its steady upward trend, both in July and in the first seven months of 2025, with sales documents showing a significant increase, demonstrating the sector's momentum.

According to comparative data on sales documents filed with the District Land Offices, property sales nationwide amounted to 1,832 in July 2025 compared to 1,657 in July 2024, marking an increase of 11%.

For the period January-July 2025, sales documents reached 10,561 compared to 9,210 in the corresponding period last year, recording an increase of 15%.

However, based on the same data, Limassol consistently maintains its lead, while Nicosia and Larnaca continue to fight for second place.

Sales by district

Specifically, at the district level, 422 sales documents were filed in Nicosia in July compared to 310 in July 2024, recording an increase of 36%, while in the January-July period, 2,432 sales documents were filed compared to 2,072 in the corresponding period last year, recording an increase of 17%.

In Limassol, 579 sales documents were filed in July compared to 552 in July 2024, showing an increase of 5%, while in the first seven months of the year, 3,304 sales documents were filed compared to 2,953 in the period January-July 2024, recording an increase of 12%.

In Larnaca, 395 sales documents were filed in July compared to 418 in July 2024, representing a decrease of 6%, while in the January-July period, 2,343 sales documents were filed compared to 1,994 in the corresponding period last year, marking an increase of 18%.

In Paphos, 342 sales documents were filed in July compared to 294 in July 2024, showing an increase of 16%, while in the first seven months, 1,995 sales documents were filed compared to 1,780 in the period January-July 2024, recording an increase of 12%.

Finally, in the district of free Famagusta, 94 sales documents were filed in July compared to 83 in July 2024, showing an increase of 13%, while in the January-July period, 487 sales documents were filed compared to 411 in the corresponding period last year, recording an increase of 18%.
