TryAthlon: Teenager-focused event to take place in Nicosia

TryAthlon, an action designed to motivate teenagers to reconnect with their body and spirit through the joy of movement, will be taking place in Eleftheria Square in Nicosia on Saturday, 14 June.

Due to take place between 5pm- 8.30pm, TryAthlon is an initiative created by five teenage girls participating in the 'Young Female Leaders' programme, which aims to develop leadership skills and bring about positive change in the community.

As the organisers note, "TryAthlon is a fun, inclusive event where kids and teenagers try new sports and activities, no competition, just exploration, play, and discovery."

The event will host three unique stations: an authentic solo jazz lesson, an introduction to capoeira and a session featuring strengthening, endurance and stability exercises. There will also be healthy snacks and music.

Participation in TryAthlon is free and you can register at https://lu.ma/o6vljj8d?locale=en-GB

The action is supported by the National Machinery for Women's Rights.
