PwC Foundation awards 14 scholarships to first-year students at University of Cyprus and CUT
Press Release 11:17 - 26 June 2025

In its bid to take tangible action to promote equal access to education, the PwC Foundation has awarded 14 scholarships to outstanding first-year students - seven each from the University of Cyprus and from the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) - for the third year in a row.
The scholarships were granted based on specific criteria that consider both academic performance at the end of students’ first year and their socioeconomic background—rewarding their commitment and perseverance, PwC Cyprus said in a press release.
It added that the initiative forms part of one of the three strategic pillars of the PwC Foundation, “Education and Culture”, and reflects our commitment to strengthening local communities and enhancing the quality of life for individuals across Cyprus.

The award ceremonies, which have now become an established tradition, took place at CUT on 17 June and at the University of Cyprus on 23 June. The Rector of the CUT, Panayiotis Zaphiris, and the Director of Administration & Finance of the University of Cyprus, Menelaos Menelaou, expressed their appreciation to the PwC Foundation and highlighted the importance of this initiative—especially at a time when students are navigating a complex and challenging environment.
“Education and continuous learning are a catalyst for progress and development— for individuals, economy and society. Through the PwC Foundation scholarships, we reward excellence, invest in the next generation, and provide the tools and encouragement to our students to realise their potential and build a better future,” said Philippos Soseilos, Chairman of the PwC Foundation & CEO of PwC Cyprus.
With consistency and transparency, the PwC Foundation remains committed to supporting initiatives that create positive impact—helping young people carve their own path and achieve even more, the press release concluded.
