Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence signs space innovation MoU with Skytrek

The Cyprus University of Technology's Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Skytrek Ltd, aimed at strengthening collaboration in the fields of space entrepreneurship, business innovation, and vocational training.

The agreement, a press release by the centre said, "sets the groundwork for the joint development and implementation of initiatives designed to support the growing space economy in Cyprus and the broader Eastern Mediterranean, Middle East and North Africa region".

As noted, the MoU outlines cooperation in vocational space business training programmes, mentoring, workshops, and competitions, promotion and investor outreach, as well as strategic advisory support.

The Memorandum was signed by Professor Diofantos Hadjimitsis, Managing Director of the Eratosthenes CoE, and Don Koulaouzos, Managing Director of Skytrek Ltd, "marking the beginning of a partnership that will bridge research excellence with market-driven innovation".

The agreement will remain in effect for five years, with the option for renewal, and will be implemented through jointly funded initiatives and strategic cooperation efforts, the statement concludes.
