Investment Funds' assets up by €169.2m in March, reaching €7.53b

The total assets of Investment Funds (IFs) in Cyprus increased by €169.2 million or 2.3% in March 2025 compared to December 2024, reaching €7.53 billion, according to data released by the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC).

The increase in the assets of the IFs is mainly attributed to the rise in the value of shares and other related securities they hold, by approximately €264.6 million, bringing their total value to €5.55 billion.

According to the CBC's announcement, the number of Investment Funds decreased from 338 in December 2024 to 336 in March 2025, while their total assets recorded an increase of 2.3%, reaching €7,538.7 million in March 2025 compared to €7,369.5 million in December 2024.

It is noted that compared to March 2024, the total assets of the IFs increased by €750.1 million.

According to CBC data, their deposits and loans amounted to €837.8 million at the end of March 2025, compared to €834.7 million in December 2024.

In contrast, the value of the securities they held in March 2025 decreased to €604.2 million from €695.3 million last December.
