Raouna and EU Council Secretariat delegation discuss Cyprus Presidency (video)

Preparations for the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2026 were discussed at a meeting of the Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Marilena Raouna, with a delegation from the General Secretariat of the Council of the EU.

The Cyprus EU Council Presidency 2026 Secretariat said in a press release that the delegation from Brussels is visiting Cyprus, in the context of the preparations for the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2026.

Raouna discussed, with the officials of the General Secretariat, the preparations and the work coordinated by the Cyprus Presidency Secretariat. At the same time, she expressed her gratitude to the General Secretariat of the Council for the cooperation with Nicosia on several important issues.

The delegation visited the conference centre on the morning of 13 May, a location which is undergoing renovation work and which will host high-level meetings in Cyprus during the six-month Presidency, the press release concluded.
