Construction output rises 3.5% and producer prices increase 4.5% in 2024

Construction output in Cyprus increased 3.5% in 2024 compared to the previous year, while producer prices in the sector rose by 4.5%, according to data released by CySTAT.

The Construction Output Index for the fourth quarter of 2024 reached 115.78 points (based on 2021=100.00), showing a decrease of 1.8% compared to the fourth quarter of 2023.

For the period of January to December 2024, the index recorded a 3.5% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

Meanwhile, the Producer Price Index in Construction for the fourth quarter of 2024 reached 122.07 points (based on 2021=100.00), marking a 1.2% increase compared to the third quarter of 2024.

Compared to the same quarter in the previous year, the index rose by 4.8%.

From January to December 2024, the Producer Price Index in Construction showed a 4.5% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
