CUT, ACCA and EY Cyprus announce collaboration

The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Ernst & Young Cyprus Ltd have agreed to collaborate through a joint programme named Accelerated Internship Route.

The Accelerated Internship Route joint programme offers the opportunity to undergraduate students studying BSc Commerce, Finance and Shipping, BSc Management, BSc Hotel and Tourism Management and the newly launched BSc Finance and Accounting at the Cyprus University of Technology, to participate to a number of available internships at Ernst & Young Cyprus Ltd.

The types of internships at Ernst & Young Cyprus Ltd are the Long Internship and the Summer Internship. The Long Internship is an available option for third and fourth-year students, to join Ernst & Young Cyprus Ltd for a long-term internship work programme spanning from September to January or January to May each year, on a part-time basis, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.

The Summer Internship is an available option for second-year students, to join Ernst & Young Cyprus Ltd for up to one-month summer internship, available in either July or August each year.

Students participating in the Accelerated Internship Route and hence registered with ACCA Accelerate, will have the opportunity to gain practical experience with Ernst & Young Cyprus Ltd, and that will count towards their ACCA Practical Experience Requirements.

Finally, students that will successfully complete two long-internships, will be eligible to be considered for a full-time job position as Assistants Level 2 at Ernst & Young Cyprus Ltd, including coverage of ACCA professional training costs.
