The first phase of the Nicosia perimetre motorway ring road has been delivered

The First Phase of the Nicosia Perimetre Motorway ring road has been handed over to traffic.

The road was opened at 12 noon on 8 August, the relevant authorities have announced.

In its announcement, the Project Engineering Office of the Nicosia Perimetre Motorway states that Phase A1 concerns a 7.5 km long highway to connect the existing Nicosia – Limassol highway (A1) with Tseriou Avenue, as well as 10 km connecting roads to restore connections with the existing road network.

It adds that this includes an uneven junction despite the Dali Industrial Area for entering the Nicosia – Limassol motorway in both directions, a bridge connecting the existing old Nicosia – Limassol road (B1) with the Nicosia – Limassol motorway (A1), an uneven junction beyond the Industrial Area of ​​Tseriou and a level terminal roundabout at the junction of Tseriou/Pefkou Avenues.
