Greek FM: Greece supports efforts for resumption of Cyprus talks

Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis reiterated Greece’s support to the efforts for the resumption of the dialogue for a solution to the Cyprus problem, during a meeting he had in Washington, US, with the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary General for Cyprus, María Ángela Holguín Cuéllar.

During the meeting, Gerapetritis stressed that "the solution to the Cyprus issue must be within the framework of the UN Security Council resolutions", the Foreign Ministry announced in a post on X.

"Greece supports the efforts of the UN Personal Envoy to restart the dialogue and is ready to provide its services to the Cyprus solution process," Gerapetritis added.
