Second ship ready to sail to Gaza, weather permitting

A second ship carrying food to war-torn Gaza is preparing to sail from Cyprus as soon weather conditions allow, according to Deputy Government Spokesman Yiannis Antoniou.

The "Jennifer" is the second ship chartered by the NGO "World Central Kitchen" and is already loaded at Larnaca Port with 500 tons of dry food, including sugar, flour, pasta, canned food and milk.

Already, the first ship returned to Cyprus from Gaza after delivering 200 tons of aid. The "Open Arms" vessel collaborating with "World Central Kitchen" was the first boat to reach Gaza in almost two decades.
