Health Minister travels to Luxembourg for the EU Health Council

The Minister of Health, Dr. Popi Kanari, will be in Luxembourg to participate in the EU Health Ministers Council (EPSCO), which will take place on 13 June.

According to a statement, the focus of the Health Ministers Council will be on strengthening the pharmaceutical ecosystem to support competitiveness and equitable access to medicines.

Health ministers are also expected to be briefed by the EU Council Presidency and the European Commission on the ongoing negotiations aimed at reaching an international agreement on issues related to pandemic prevention and preparedness, the statement concludes.
