Everything has changed in the HR field, and companies are faced with a very different culture and mindset, Marios Antoniou, the HR Manager of the C.A. Papaellinas Emporiki Ltd, said on Wednesday at the INSPIRE 2026's Future of Work Stage.
“There is never one model to satisfy everybody,” he said, noting that generational differences need to be met with compromise. Speaking about the younger generation, he added that Gen-Z is known for breaking “taboos” and questioning everything about their work.
He added that different generations are looking for different things from their employers. Older generations search for things like stability and provident funds, while younger generations seek immediate benefits, such as subscriptions and benefits to services.
According to Antoniou, the older generations are used to working longer hours, which he appreciates in the context of younger people.
Transparency is also important, he added, saying that where changes in salaries need to be made, they should.
