Damianos to discuss energy matters with Greek and Egyptian counterparts at Athens HELLENiQ ENERGY conference

Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Michael Damianos, on Wednesday will take part in a conference organised by the East Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF) and HELLENiQ ENERGY on “Accelerating the Eastern Mediterranean as an energy corridor: From dialogue to corridor realisation”.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry, Damianos will also hold, on the sidelines of the conference, separate meetings with the Greek Minister for the Environment and Energy, Stavros Papastavrou, and the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, as well as a trilateral meeting with his two counterparts.

It is added that  Damianos will take part during the Conference in a discussion between Ministers and industry representatives entitled “Strategic Voices Shaping the Eastern Mediterranean Energy Corridor”, during which the prospects for the exploitation of the Eastern Mediterranean’s energy resources and the further development of the region as an energy corridor will be examined.
