The number of job vacancies in the 2nd quarter of 2026 reached 12,930, recording a decrease of 3,123 vacancies, recording a decrease of 19.5%, compared to the same quarter of the previous year where the number was 16,053, according to data published by CySTAT.
Compared to the 1st quarter of 2026 the number of job vacancies decreased by 975 (-7%).
The job vacancy rate in the 2nd quarter of 2026 was 2.6%, while the job vacancy rate in the previous quarter and the 2nd quarter of 2025 was 2.8% and 3.3%, respectively.
The largest job vacancy rates in the 2nd quarter of 2026 were observed in the Sectors of Accommodation and Food Service Activities (4.6%), Transportation and Storage (3.5%) and Administrative and Support Service Activities (3.5%).
