Index of consumer prices rose by 4.4% in July on annual basis

The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) rose by 4.4% in July 2026 compared with July 2025 and increased by 0.7% between June and July 2026.

According to CySTAT compared with July 2025, the categories Restaurants and Accommodation Services (12%) and Housing, Water, Electricity, Natural Gas and Other Fuels (7%) showed the largest positive changes.

The largest negative changes were observed in the categories Clothing and Footwear (-5.2%) and Information and Communication (-2.3%).

Compared with June 2026, the largest changes were recorded in the categories Clothing and Footwear (-10.8%), Restaurants and Accommodation Services (5.5%), Transport (1.9%) and Housing, Water, Electricity, Natural Gas and Other Fuels (1.7%).

The largest change among the economic categories, compared with July 2025, was observed in the category Energy (10.2%), while, compared with June 2026, it was observed in the category Services (3.5%).
