The real estate market returned to a dynamic course both in June and in the first half of the year, with sales in most districts recording positive indications.
According to data from the Department of Lands and Surveys, property sales nationwide in June this year amounted to 1,964 from 1,544 in June last year, recording an increase of 27%. For the first half of 2026, the number of sales documents submitted exceeded 10,000 (10,007), recording an increase of 15% compared to the corresponding period last year, during which 8,729 sales documents were filed.
Jump in Limassol
The increase in sales in Limassol was particularly noteworthy, soaring to 727 in June 2026 from 444 in June 2025, while for the period January - June 2026, the number of sales documents submitted in Limassol increased by 20% to 3,264 compared to 2,725 in the corresponding period in 2025.
Property sales in Larnaca increased by 6% in June this year, reaching 416 compared to 394 in June last year, while for the first half of the year, the number of sales documents submitted amounted to 2,163 compared to 1,948 in the corresponding period last year, recording an increase of 11%.
All districts on an upward trajectory
Property sales in Nicosia rose to 392 in June 2026 from 355 in June 2025, recording a 10% increase, while for the first half of the year, the number of sales documents submitted in the capital increased by 7% to 2,141 compared to 2,010 in the corresponding period last year.
Property sales in Paphos increased by 28%, reaching 361 in June this year compared to 282 in June last year, while for the period January - June 2026 they also increased by 21%, reaching 1,992 compared to 1,653 in the same period in 2025.
Real estate sales in the district of free Famagusta remained at the same levels, reaching 68 in June 2026 from 69 in June 2025, while on the contrary, a 14% increase was recorded for the first half of 2026, with 447 sales documents submitted compared to 393 in the corresponding half of 2025.
