Zela Jet launches helicopter flight service connecting Athens with Aegean and Ionian Sea destinations

Cypriot travellers choosing the Greek islands for their summer holidays now have new travel options, as a helicopter flight service has been launched, connecting Athens with popular destinations across the Aegean and Ionian Seas.

This service from Zela Jet, which is owned by Cypriot businessman Andreas Christodoulides, uses the company's own branded twin-engine Agusta 109C helicopter based in Athens and serves domestic flights only, for passengers who wish to travel quickly and flexibly between mainland Greece and island destinations.

Cypriots have consistently been among the most frequent visitors to Greece, particularly to the Greek islands. This new service offers an additional travel option for those wishing to combine multiple destinations during their holidays, making the most of their time.

The Agusta 109C is a reliable twin-engine helicopter with a capacity for up to seven passengers. It features a comfortable passenger cabin and the necessary specifications for flights between island and mainland destinations.

Through this service, passengers can travel to Mykonos, Santorini, Paros, Naxos, Milos, Crete, Zakynthos and Corfu, as well as to dozens of other islands across the Aegean and Ionian Seas.

Direct flights significantly reduce travel time compared to conventional transport methods, making it easy to visit multiple destinations in a single day. At the same time, they offer greater flexibility in travel planning for both private and business travellers.

During the flight, passengers can enjoy breathtaking aerial views of Greece’s unique geography, the island clusters of the Aegean and Ionian Seas, and the distinctive coastlines that define the Greek landscape.
