Eurostat: Guests spent 3.1 million nights in Cyprus accommodations in Q3 2025

Cyprus recorded 3,104,502 overnight stays in short-term rental accommodation booked through online platforms in the third quarter of 2025 (July–September), according to data published by Eurostat.

According to Eurostat, across the European Union as a whole, guests spent 172.3 million nights in short-term rental accommodation in the fourth quarter of 2025 (October–December), through platforms such as Airbnb, Booking and Expedia. This figure represents an increase of 10.9% compared with the same quarter of 2024 and a rise of 30.2% compared with the fourth quarter of 2023.

On an annual basis, Eurostat reports that guests spent a total of 951.6 million nights in short-stay accommodation booked online in 2025, marking an increase of 11.4% compared with 2024 and 32.4% compared with 2023.

According to Eurostat, the data are based on monthly statistics concerning short-term accommodation offered via online platforms.

At a regional level, the Jadranska Hrvatska region in Croatia was the most popular in the third quarter of 2025, recording 27.7 million overnight stays. It was followed by Andalucia in Spain with 19.5 million overnight stays and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in France with 16.9 million.

According to Eurostat, the 20 most popular tourist regions for short-term rentals in the third quarter of 2025 were located in six EU Member States: six in France, five in Spain, four in Italy, three in Greece, and one each in Portugal and Croatia.
