Among the distinguished speakers featured in this year’s programme is Elroy Dimson, Professor of Finance at the Cambridge Judge Business School and Co-Founder & Chairman of the Centre for Endowment Asset Management.
His presentation titled “Evidence-Based Investing” focuses on analysing the returns and risks of major asset classes, such as equities and bonds, based on 125 years of data from 35 global markets. During his talk, Elroy Dimson will share strategies for long-term investing, highlighting how thorough analysis and robust data can guide investment decisions and help both individuals and organizations prepare for the future.
Elroy Dimson has served as Chairman of the Strategy Council of the Norwegian Sovereign Wealth Fund and as Chair of the Policy & Advisory Boards of FTSE Russell, while also participating in major international committees and academic organizations. He is the author of influential books including Triumph of the Optimists, Global Investment Returns Yearbook, and Endowment Asset Management. His research covers areas such as active management, real assets, financial history, and long-term investment strategy.
