Wizz Air announces planned temporary outage for system upgrade

Wizz Air will temporarily pause access to its booking and digital customer service platforms as the airline carries out a scheduled systems upgrade designed to improve reliability, stability, and the overall customer experience.

The planned outage will take place during the following window:

25 February, 23:00 CET – 26 February, 08:00 CET

During this period, customers will be unable to access several digital services, including:

  • Booking new flights
  • Modifying existing reservations
  • Online check‑in
  • Wizz Air mobile app booking functions
  • Voucher redemption and account‑related services

All flight operations will continue as scheduled, and passengers who have already checked in or downloaded their boarding passes will not be affected.

“We are committed to delivering a smooth and reliable experience for our customers. This planned upgrade will further develop our systems and support future improvements across our digital platforms. We appreciate our customers’ understanding as we complete this essential work needed for an even better experience," said Wizz Air Corporate Communications Manager, Olivia Harangozo.

Wizz Air recommends that passengers traveling during the outage window complete online check‑in and download their boarding passes before the planned system outage begins. If needed, however, during the outage, airport check-in will be available free of charge.

The airline expects all services to be fully restored immediately after the maintenance window concludes.

To help pass the time during the outage, the Wizz Air team has put together a dedicated playlist for everyone to listen to. It’s a mix of tracks selected to make the wait a little easier and offer something for different tastes.
