Cyprus recorded a strong increase in industrial activity in November 2025, according to official data released by the Statistical Service of Cyprus. The General Industrial Production Index (base 2021=100) reached 111.2 points, reflecting an annual increase of 8.5% compared with November 2024.
For the period January–November 2025, the index showed a rise of 3.7% compared with the corresponding period of 2024.
The manufacturing sector, which posted a 9.6% year-on-year increase, was the main driver of the November upturn. Particularly strong performances were recorded in the manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products, which surged by 83.6% in November and 13.3% over the eleven-month period. The manufacture of furniture, other manufacturing activities, and repair and installation of machinery and equipment rose by 10.3%. Growth was also seen in the wood industry and the manufacture of products of wood (except furniture) at 9.3%, while the production of basic metals and fabricated metal products increased by 8.9%.
Modest declines were registered in the manufacture of textiles, wearing apparel and leather products (-1.2%) and in the manufacture of paper and paper products, printing and reproduction of recorded media (-1.2%).
Other sectors also contributed positively. Mining and quarrying posted a 32.5% increase in November (and 7.3% over the January–November period). Water collection, treatment and supply together with materials recovery rose by 4.7%, with the water segment alone recording a 7.0% gain over the eleven months.
The only negative performance came from electricity supply, which fell by 0.9% in November and by 1.8% over the January–November period.
