This Christmas season, KPMG in Cyprus once again demonstrated what it means to live by its values. The village of Souni was deeply affected by the recent wildfires, suffering extensive damage. After visiting the area and witnessing the impact firsthand, our volunteer community felt compelled to take action.
Over the past weeks, a team of KPMG colleagues visited Souni and helped decorate key areas of the village, aiming to revive its festive atmosphere and bring moments of hope to the residents.
On Friday, 5 December 2025, KPMG volunteers returned to Souni to switch on the Christmas lights, offer gifts to the children, and spend meaningful time with the community. The small, heartfelt celebration served as a reminder that every person deserves to feel the spirit of Christmas. A modest buffet was shared among volunteers and residents, with colleagues contributing treats and warm wishes.
"This initiative reflected the essence of KPMG’s values in action," the company said in a press release. "Through courage, unity, and integrity, our People once again proved that real impact happens when we choose to stand together."
Maria A. Papacosta, Board Member and Head of Clients & Markets stated: “We are incredibly proud of our People and their unwavering commitment to our communities. Initiatives like this embody who we are as an organization: a team that steps up, stands together, and supports those around us when it matters most”.
