EY Cyprus has been honoured with the Cyprus Microsoft Partner of the Year 2025 award for delivering pioneering services powered by artificial intelligence.
This distinction represents a significant recognition of the strategic collaboration between EY and Microsoft, highlighting how a shared vision can yield meaningful results for society by offering innovative, high-quality services that improve citizen experience.
The Microsoft Partner of the Year award is presented annually to Microsoft partners across more than 80 countries and regions, showcasing innovation, technical excellence, and their contribution to digital transformation. For 2025, over 4,600 submissions were received from 100 countries and regions, demonstrating an impressive range of solutions that integrate cutting-edge technology and strong elements of inclusivity. Among them, EY Cyprus stood out as the national winner with the flagship project gov.cy - a cloud-based, AI-driven platform recognised as a project of high strategic importance and a model for how technology can substantially enhance citizen services and modern state operations.
A landmark project for Cyprus’ digital governance
Under the motto “We shape a Digital Government with Purpose… enabled by a Cloud-first and AI-powered Digital Platform gov.cy”, EY Cyprus combined its global expertise with Microsoft’s technological capabilities and a deep understanding of the Cypriot government’s needs to create a pioneering digital governance program built on Cloud-first and AI-powered principles.
The program includes:
• A cloud-based gov.cy portal featuring a unified design and a centralised content management system for more than 200 government websites.
• The digitisation and transformation of over 15 citizen-facing services.
• The integration of artificial intelligence technologies to support citizens.
The success of gov.cy goes far beyond the creation of a digital platform. It marks a profound shift in the way the state operates, representing a new point of balance where technology meets human-centric service delivery.
