Ygia Polyclinic is acquiring the Limassol Ophthalmic Center, according to a notification of a concentration submitted to the Commission for the Protection of Competition.
According to the Commission, a notification of a concentration was received regarding the acquisition of the share capital of the company ELIAS N. ELIA IEPE by the company Ygia Polyclinic Limited, through the company Vlepo Limited.
Ygia Polyclinic Limited is a company duly registered under the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, which through its subsidiaries operates in the market for the provision of services of a private hospital, known as Ygia Polyclinic and Eden Medical Centre.
Vlepo Limited is a company duly registered under the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, which is a special purpose vehicle established exclusively for the purposes of the proposed transaction, while ELIAS N. ELIA IEPE is a company duly registered under the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, which is a specialised medical centre/ophthalmology clinic.
The Limassol Ophthalmic Center was founded in 1994 by Dr. Elias Elia. Since its establishment, it has been continuously evolving, upgrading its services and becoming a successful day care centre for most ophthalmological procedures and diagnostic services.
It has two spacious operating rooms and two examination rooms. The ophthalmology centre collaborates with more than 20 external partners from Cyprus and abroad, covering a wide range of specialties.
