Artion Galleries will have a showcase boutique at The Landmark Nicosia. Can you share how the partnership between MHV and The Landmark Nicosia – Autograph Collection came to life?
Our partnership with The Landmark Nicosia, Autograph Collection represents more than a business collaboration, it’s a convergence of two vibrant brands with a shared commitment to guest experience. Working closely with MHV and the team at The Landmark, we’re able to marry bold ideas with authentic hospitality, creating an atmosphere that elevates the hotel’s concept while introducing new emotions, immersive detail, and ambience. I see this collaboration as a strategic step that enhances the survival and development of the gallery.
In your view, how does the collaboration with Marriott add value not only to the hotel but also to the city of Nicosia more widely?
Being associated with a luxury hotel enhances the gallery’s reputation by positioning it alongside premium brands. Guests of a 5-star hotel are often international travelers, business leaders, and art collectors.
Also, in what ways will this collaboration benefit Artion Galleries?
The gallery gains direct access to an affluent audience that may not visit a traditional gallery space.
Artion Galleries is well established with a series of locations in Geneva, Venice, and several galleries on mainland Greece and the Greek islands, as well as on Makarios Avenue in Nicosia. Can you tell us more about its history and philosophy?
Artion is an International Gallery, based in Geneva, Switzerland, at a historically significant location. The Gallery hosts a dynamic program of museum quality exhibitions, often led by important contemporary thinkers and creative curators. Our passion for the living history of art, as well as our desire to protect the memory and quality of the Old Masters, in alignment with contemporary trends, result in a dynamic synthesis of the artists we represent; the synergies of their work create orientations, shape opinions and one could argue contribute to the general evolution of the art world, transforming the Commercial Spectrum into Art Historical Context.
Can you reveal more about the type of artwork typically featured at Artion Galleries locations, but also what visitors to the upcoming showcase boutique specifically can look forward to seeing?
Artion Galleries has been carefully selecting exceptional artists who are true visionaries of their time. These include David Gerstein, Hiro Ando, Roman Feral, Costas Tsoclis, Milly Martionou, Danilo Martinis, Caroline Rovithi, Giorgos Polymeros, Caroline De Souza and Lorenzo Quinn.
What audiences and clients are Artion Galleries locations typically aimed at?
Art lovers, followers of artist names, mix of emerging and established, who want works with meaning—works that reflect identity, heritage, and contemporary issues.
When it comes to investing in art, how would you describe the current landscape? Are there specific prevailing trends?
More people are showing interest in art as an investment or as cultural capital—not just as decoration. Artists are blending traditional with modern -textile/weave with digital, heritage crafts with conceptual installation- to explore identity and place.
I identify the following trends, use of mixed media, installation, sound, video, digital art etc. More experimental and immersive art forms are being shown in galleries/fairs. while remaining warm, soulful, and sincere.
Also, when it comes to investing in art, should collectors use their heads, their hearts, or perhaps a combination of both?
Collectors should use their hearts to choose and their heads to guide. A Combination of Both Collectors who use their hearts ensure their collection is personally fulfilling and meaningful. Collectors who use their heads ensure their collection is sustainable, protected, and potentially valuable long-term.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Let this new fresh start, be a canvas for new ideas, bold expressions, and lasting impressions.
Wishing success, synergy, and countless unforgettable moments ahead!
