The belief that Cyprus is a country of open and honest dialogue was expressed by the host of "You're in Business" and former Bloomberg Television anchor Yousef Gamal El-Din during his opening address at the 16th Limassol Economic Forum.
The well-known journalist, with a long career in international business media, expressed his admiration for what Cyprus has achieved, "despite its small size". Opening the proceedings of the conference, the coordinator expressed his admiration for Cyprus and its economic progress, subsequently emphasising the importance of the Limassol Economic Forum as a place for exchanging views with a focus on developments at the international level.
Yousef Gamal El-Din is the host of "You're In Business" on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts. He features high-profile figures such as heads of state, government ministers, CEOs and billionaires. His interview with the chairman of the Saudi National Bank in 2023 shocked the financial world, leading to the sale of Credit Suisse.
With over 20 years experience in live television, he has secured exclusive interviews with many famous leaders, such as Christine Lagarde. To date, approximately 1,500 top decision-makers have participated in his show. Gamal El-Din regularly speaks at major global events.
Gamal El-Din’s career also includes eight years as a host on Bloomberg Television and previously on CNBC. The shows examined the most important business and economic issues shaping the markets.
The Limassol Economic Forum
The Limassol Economic Forum, Cyprus’ most prestigious conference on strategic and political thought, returns for its 16th year, transforming the Parklane Resort & Spa into a mini Davos with a Cypriot aura and an international pulse. This year, the dominant theme is almost prophetic: “The World on Fire.”
No, this is not an exaggeration - we are talking about a world where crises follow one another: military, energy, political, technological.
And somewhere in between all this, people of thought, economics, and leadership are trying to find meaning, a path, and… a little optimism.
