"Cyprus is dynamically evolving into one of the most attractive investment destinations in Europe," Invest Cyprus CEO Marios Tannousis said during the 3rd Cyprus International Technology Relocation Summit.
During his presentation, he analysed the demographic and economic data of Cyprus, noting that the country ranks 27th out of 133 countries in the Global Innovation Index 2024, while it already exceeds the European target for 2030 in terms of higher education, with rates increasing rapidly. At the same time, he noted that, according to the William Russell index , Cyprus ranks 5th worldwide among the best countries to start a business.
Tannousis also referred to the international recognition and high credit ratings of the country by Moody's, Fitch Ratings and S&P Global, which, as he emphasised, demonstrate the stability and resilience of the Cypriot economy.
He also commented on the significant reduction in unemployment, underlining that Cyprus is an ideal choice for businesses and professionals thanks to the positive economic environment, access to talent and markets, the modern regulatory framework and reliable business support services.
Concluding his speech, he emphasised the high quality of life that Cyprus offers to those who choose to live and work in the country, combining professional opportunities with an excellent living environment.
