With the second and final part of INSPIRE 2025 taking place this afternoon and evening, the first day of the event has been declared a huge success, with crowds congregating in Nicosia’s Makariou Avenue and the surrounding areas to be inspired.
On the first day, Themis Georgantas kicked things off at the event's opening welcoming Nicosia’s Mayor Charalambos Prountzos, Chief Scientist Dr. Demetris Skourides, and IMH’s CEO George Michael to the stage.
Five young musicians from Sistema Cyprus, the string group System of a String filled Makariou Avenue with sounds blending classical sensitivity and youthful energy.
Immediately after, the baton passed to the percussion group Batukinio who got the audience into a festival mood with drums, rhythms, and a carnival atmosphere.
Audiences also made the most of the opportunity to hear from successful entrepreneurs and business leaders, with more experts also taking to INSPIRE’s four stages this afternoon.

As part of INSPIRE 2025, the XM Street Food Festival will continue on Makariou Avenue from 6pm-11pm. This is unique gastronomic and cultural experience, where everyone is cooking for a good cause, as part of the proceeds will go to Sistema – a corporate social responsibility initiative by XM.
INSPIRE 2025 is not “just another event.” It’s where entrepreneurship meets art, where innovation blends with music, where CEOs, students, creators, and visionaries gather in the same space and talk without titles, labels, or barriers.
