INSPIRE 2025, the largest and most distinctive business festival in Cyprus, has opened its doors , with Nicosia Mayor Charalambos Prountzos describing it as the quintessence of " the Nicosia we want." In fact, the Nicosia Mayor underlined that the city is the people and "that is why we are grateful for the presence of such events."
The Mayor of Nicosia, speaking at the grand opening of INSPIRE 2025, said that "it is the quintessence of the city, it is the Nicosia that we want to have. We are looking ahead. Last year, George Michael came with Daphne Tang (the CEO and General Manager of IMH) to talk to me for the first time. I liked the concept, because I understood that the way it was designed is what our city needs."
Prountzos then pointed out that "INSPIRE is a festival that celebrates entrepreneurship in its true dimensions, without being arrogant. We see entrepreneurs, starting with George, who are not in the spotlight, wanting to share with us experiences about how they got to where they are. The city is the people and for this reason we are grateful for such events."
Responding to a question referring to him being a businessman and having his own law firm before his election to the Nicosia mayoralty, Charalambos Prountzos pointed out that "when you are mayor it is ten times more enriching. Entering politics is a continuation of what I did in my job.
There is no scenario where the city is doing well and the business sector is not doing well or vice versa. When I was an entrepreneur, I tried to present the city's comparative advantages. We want to bring in ideas to inspire the organisation and then implement these visions in the city."
