Preparations are already underway ahead of the highly-anticipated INSPIRE 2025 event due to take place in Makariou Avenue and the surrounding areas on the afternoons and evenings of Thursday and Friday, 25 and 26 September.
The heart of Nicosia is being transformed into a huge, vibrant hub of entrepreneurship, innovation and creation – and also into a location full of music, colour, street food and smiles.
INSPIRE 2025 is not just a festival. It is the experience of the year. It is the place where CEOs and startup founders share the stage with Olympians, influencers and creators. Where the freshest ideas meet experience and the city is filled with people who want to change the world.
The Opening Ceremony: Music, rhythm and Themis on stage
The curtain opens on Thursday, 25 September, at 3.30pm, with a ceremony that promises to be unforgettable. First on stage are System of a String by Sistema Cyprus , five young performers who will fill Makariou with music that speaks directly to the soul. Immediately after, Batukinio brings the pulse of percussion, putting the audience in a rhythm that leaves no one unmoved.
And then, Themis Georgantas, who knows exactly how to give a different energy to every scene, appears: . With his characteristic style – playful, direct and full of humor – he will welcome the audience and open the great INSPIRE 2025 celebration with a dialogue full of inspiration. At his side, the Mayor of Nicosia Charalambos Prountzos, Chief Scientist Demetris Skourides and the CEO of IMH George Michael will share why INSPIRE was created , what the vision of the festival is and how it can shape the Cyprus of tomorrow.

Street food, DJ sets and unforgettable vibes
Of course, INSPIRE is not just about speeches and panels. From 6pm to 11pm, Makariou Avenue will be filled with flavours, smells and colours through the XM Street Food Festival. We will be cooking for a good cause, with part of the proceeds going to Sistema Cyprus.
And when night falls, there will be DJ sets, music, cocktails and networking that will continue until late. Because INSPIRE is a celebration – and celebrations don't end with the first round of applause.
