Due to open in the next months, the much-anticipated The Landmark Nicosia, Autograph Collection by Marriott will also include an element that regulars of the historic Hilton Hotel will recognise, a reincarnation of the popular Orangery restaurant.
The Orangery was for many years a meeting point for elite Nicosia residents and special guests including politicians and businesspeople, becoming a hub for both friendly and business get-togethers.
Now, the soon-to-be-opened The Landmark Nicosia, Autograph Collection by Marriott, owned by MHV – Mediterranean Hospitality Venture and constructed on the site of the former Hilton Hotel, will include the Orangery in a new form.
The all-day dining venue has been reincarnated and reimaged as a tribute to the original Orangery but will have a distinctly fresh look.
As light spills into the space from the garden and poolside, guests will be enjoying their drink or meal beneath a modern fresco-painted ceiling inspired by historical Cypriot heritage.
Created by an acclaimed artist Agata Leszczynska, hired by MHV’s collaborators DDOCK, the fresco will cover the venue’s four-barrelled ceiling panels with a unique, a specially-created design in selected shades of blue.
