Limassol-based City Friends Club, which actively engages in daily street cleaning, organises community cleanups and promotes eco-consciousness through a range of educational initiatives, is calling for volunteers to participate in World Cleanup Day events in Limassol, Larnaca and Paphos.
In an announcement, City Friends Club notes that on Saturday, 20 September, Cyprus is set to join in the world’s biggest environmental action together with millions of people in over 190 countries uniting to fight the global waste crisis and with every single piece of trash collected counted toward a powerful worldwide result.
"City Friends Club has taken part in this campaign every year, but this time we’re leading the effort in Cyprus with three massive cleanups happening at the same time in Limassol, Larnaca, and Paphos. Three cities – one mission: make Cyprus cleaner," the announcement goes on to say.
It continues, "These cleanups will be special. Volunteers will collect trash to live DJ sets: DJ ZA in Larnaca, DJ ev0x in Limassol, and DJ Mary Cat in Paphos. There will be a photographer to capture the best moments – and a win-win lottery with gifts from our friends and partners. No one leaves without a surprise present."
The Limassol Cleanup is supported by CFC official sponsor Adsterra.
The results of cleanups in Cyprus, as well as worldwide, will be available after the event here.

About City Friends Club
City Friends Club (СFC) actively engages in daily street cleaning, organizes community cleanups and promotes eco-consciousness through a range of educational initiatives.
Based in Limassol, the organization also operates offices in Larnaca and Paphos. Since 2021, the team has been actively cleaning key areas across Limassol with 6 trucks and 15 cleaners and hosting regular monthly cleanups for volunteers and corporate groups in parks, beaches, and other public spaces.
With professional cleaners and more than 3,000 volunteers engaged, CFC has collected 223 tons of garbage over the entire work period. Educational efforts include the RE:SOURCE eco-art exhibition (4,000+ visitors in five days), public talks, and initiatives like Coffee Friends Club and Graffiti Friends Club, all designed to inspire sustainable practices and environmental awareness.
The City Friends Club app, available on iOS and Android, enables 800+ users to report illegal dump locations, track clean-up progress and earn rewards, helping СFС plan events and analyze pollution trends across Cyprus.
Supported by eco-responsible sponsors such as Flintera, Easy Brain, Palta, GDEV, Exness, The Island School, Lumio Private School, Puzzle point, Quadcode, Ecommpay, BSM, Adsterra, The Soul Publishing, Unlimit, AdTech Holding, Leptos, Oleg Netepenko and others, City Friends Club raised €2 million in the first three years of work.
