Vino Hospitality Group’s fine dining restaurant Rous is moving to a more central location in Nicosia this month.
Rous, founded in 2019 by cousins Andreas Kyprianou and Costas Constantinou as a high-gastronomy concept, is leaving its home on Kyriakou Matsi Avenue after six years. This September, it will reopen in a new, more central location, on the corner of Stasandrou and Mpoumpoulinas Streets - where Sauvage Wine Bar used to be.

"Rous is moving to a vibrant downtown hub (corner of Stasandrou & Mpoumpoulinas) – now redesigned for a more interactive experience," the restaurant said in a social media post. "Expect a warm, lively atmosphere, an open-plan cold kitchen, and dishes designed for conversation, connection, and discovery. A new home for contemporary Cypriot cuisine."
Redesigned for a more interactive and social dining experience, the new space promises a blend of accessibility with sophistication, as well as a warmer, livelier atmosphere, and an open cold kitchen.

A contemporary approach to Cypriot cuisine
Owners Kyprianou and Constantinou say they envision the new Rous as the home of contemporary Cypriot cuisine; while preserving its commitment to quality and innovation, the restaurant will adopt a more flexible and engaging concept.

Executive Chef Triantafyllos Souliotis and his creative kitchen team will carry forward the restaurant’s identity with new, more expressive interpretations of Cypriot flavours.

The philosophy of the new Rous
The refreshed concept will be built on three core principles:
-
Sharing Culture – Dishes designed for sharing, from imaginative appetisers to signature mains showcasing Cypriot ingredients with modern techniques.
-
Approachable Sophistication – High quality without pretension, offering flexible pricing, a relaxed atmosphere, and flavours that spark conversation.
-
Cypriot Roots, Modern Soul – A culinary identity that celebrates tradition while embracing innovation.
